Reasons to be cheerful (#2)

I got a phone call from the dentist's today announcing my dentist was off sick and my appointment had to be rescheduled.

Phew...I really don't like going to the dentist.

And...

I'd forgotten about the appointment, so if she hadn't been off sick I would have missed it and have had been charged for my forgetfullness.

Ah...serendipity!

Glad you didnt miss your appointment - I missed a letter from my dentist (cant ever remember receiving it) and got de-registered. Now although I have half a tooth missing I still cant get re-registered (have been told to try calling in 6 weeks) and cant afford private dental care.

I did get a temporary filling but it dropped out the next day and original filling fell out 3 days later - my whole jaw aches.

Nobody likes going to the dentist - but please go, dont end up like me!

Oh no! Your post has suddenly made me realise that I DID miss a dentist's appointment but it was back in September. I may be charged and taken off their lists. Panic! And it has taken me years to find an NHS dentist!!!!

My 'private' dentist didn't even give me NHS treatment when I was pregnant with the Pickles. Boo hiss.

Hi Baba (or shall I call you mum?) Yes I did reschedule, for another month's time. But I can't remember the date now. I have written it down though. :-D

Hi Grumps - arghh that's horrible! The Sycamore might have spaces and also keep an eye out for the new dentist that is being built in Moreton Hall. Good luck with getting reregistered ;-D

Hi Laura - free dental care was great. I remember it well. ;-D

Hi Ingenious - hurry hurry, better be quick. BTW, what's happened to your site? I've been meaning to drop you a line on Facebook. I'm missing it ;-(

Hi Picklesmum - You are right....Boo Hiss indeed. They could have been more accommodating. As an aside, I really don't know how dentists can do a job like that, between that and chiropody, it's all really very very yukky indeed. Bleurgh ;-@
