Am I losing the blogging plot?

Once upon a time there used to be email, Friends Reunited and texting.

Then came Facebook

Then I got a blog.

Not happy with one I created another, wanting to protect readers from my other ramblings. Many many ramblings.

And along came Twitter, Flickr and You Tube.

The comments, the pokes and video responses.

And of course the book, my book, with words, chapters and sections.

And the pile of washing up, the quick meals and the mess.

Just like my days in the office.

So busy, hardly ever home, so little time.

Then I had a cleaner.

Not just a hoover, but a woman who does.

I think I need another woman who does, plus a cook, a gardener and a nanny.

I may be always home, but I'm hardly ever "here".

I'm elsewhere, looking at words and writing even more.

Thousands of words between breakfast and supper.

Ah, I've now realised what's missing.

Damn, forget about the husband, the cleaner and the growing list of servants!

What I really need is a wife!

Hmm...I'm now wondering if my husband's thinking the same!

Yes that just about sums it up.

What I want to know is what did mums do 100 years ago?

You're right, a wife is the way ahead (apparently that was a war poster or something, not sure, but something sure got us into this mess). MH

Wow, you got that right sweetie. Brilliant post. And I will return that call tomorrow. LIfe is crazy here. Mr B has hurt his back so I've had a very full weekend with shopping, swimming lesson, trips to the opticians and caring for two kids and a needy bloke. Now it's midnight and I'm off to bed. Phew. I really do need a wife.

Hi Susanna - hmm... a hundred years ago...just even thinking about it sounds like hard work :-D

Hi MH - oh you're right...it would have been the war, before that it might have been the odd parlour game if you were lucky :-D

Hi Ladybird mum - lovely to meet you and thrice in one day, LOL, ha ha ha, if you find a great wife, we could share her ;-D

Jo - that's just too terrible. Hope Mr B is now feeling better. I think you should be give the Florence Nightingale award for all round loveliness :-D x

I'm in awe of your electronic input levels. I can only manage e-mail and a blog and even that takes far too much of my time - at least, as far as my sons are concerned, who try and sabotage things every time I try and sit at the computer... (Try writing a post with a 2 year old 'helping' you push the keys...)

I'd love a wife. Hope she would be a better cook than me.

Oh dear Potty Mummy, a 2 year old helping to push the keys. I remember that one so well. Hooray for school. The only way I manage the rest of it is to feed everyone banana sandwiches - so easy, so quick. "Not again mummy", I hear the cry. :-D

Hi Iota - hee hee, thanks for dropping by. If I find one, I'll send her over :-D
